Hi Karen -

For reasons that will become obvious: have you read Geoff Dyer’s great collection of short stories- Yoga for People Who Can’t be Bothered to Do It? Or his terrific book about not writing a book about DH Lawrence?

And keep up the good fight against the culturally challenged anti-wine-fascisti!

I enjoy your writing so much that I would read whatever you wrote about. All those rejection notices you received from clueless people only made you stronger and better. I missed you but hope I’ll be able to hear from you now more often. Just so you know, I’ve been drinking my share of wine 🍷 + some one else’s half share just to keep things going onward. Warmest best, Terry.

Bravo ! We, I have all faced this situation on many levels, and that you bring it out it print, makes an impact and makes a difference. Passion for our dreams, our ideals, are what take us beyond the walls, even if we never know we make an impact. You are throwing those pebbles into the water, causing the ripples of consciousness, and bringing others out of a daze. We can't stop and I implore you to know, even if it's one or two, you make a huge difference just by being you. My experience of you is that your heart is in every word you write ... and it comes across. Your insights, your battles, your step by step is inspiring. We need your voice.

Thank you for this post.

It strengthens my resolve all the more to keep drinking wine.

The first edition of the Wine Bible got me hooked on thinking about the nuances of wine and wine culture so thank you.

Best, Anthony

I enjoyed reading this and glad you haven’t given up. I’ve been getting a little bored with the same roses and proseccos but had a delicious Gruner Veltliner a few days ago and I’m excited about trying different wines now.
